Antique American Clocks January 2022
17. $150
Seth Thomas “Concord”, 1887. A 22-inch case with an old finish and good patina. The door glass is old/original; the dial appears to be paper, varnished over. The hands are correct and there is a ST pendulum
bob. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a cathedral gong. The date of manufacture
is stamped on the back and there is an unreadable black label on the inside base. This is an attractive clock in the “city series”,
with its only shortcoming the incorrect upright finials on the sides of the door at the bottom. $150-$250.
