Antique American Clocks January 2022
8. $2000
Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. “No. 2˝ Brisbane”, 1909. This is an uncommon model. It is the largest spring-driven model made by ICCC, at 42 inches long and 15.5 inches wide. The case is walnut with the original
finish and some slight roughness. Note the missing trim piece at the bottom back center. The door glass is original, as
are the paper-over-metal dials and hands. The wooden pendulum is the later, simpler style. The 8-day time-and-strike movement
is unsigned and probably made by Gilbert, as were many later ICCC movements. It is running like a champ, striking on the hour
and half-hour, and the calendar is advancing. There are several recent service notations inside, including one signed in 1949
by Harry Dean of Ithaca NY. There is an instruction label on the back. Horton’s sold one in 2017 for $2350. $2000-$2500.
