259.    $250

Kal-Klok rotary calendar alarm clock, ca. 1940.  This is a particularly difficult clock to find in good condition; there are no listings in the Antique Clocks Price Guide or on LiveAuctioneers.  It is 5.5 inches tall in bronze crinkle paint without chips or scratches.  The top flips open to reveal the winding keys and time-set knob; you set the calendar tapes by lifting and turning the silver knob on the back, setting each tape independently.  I did not take apart the case, but it winds and runs, with the time tape advancing.  I did not check the calendars.  This guy comes with some printed information about the clock including an advertising brochure from the period.  A nice example of this unusual “machine age” clock. Horton’s sold one in 2017 for $200.  $250-$400.
