258.    $50

United Clock Corp. animated FDR novelty clock, ca. 1933.  Yup, a second one that you’ve probably never seen.  Here Franklin Roosevelt towers over Abe Lincoln and George Washington, holding hands with both; at the bottom of the clock it says, “Steersmen of the U.S.A.”  Again, the spelter metal is painted gold with light wear and soiling.  The 4-inch dial depicts the well-known three colonial patriots marching with the flag and two drums; the drummer boy on the left is pounding the drum with his right hand with the clock’s ticking.  The dial is paper and is very yellowed; it is signed slightly differently from #257, with the word “Electric” being left out of the name, and it is undated.  It is running after oiling the pivots; again, backwind, probably one day.  $50-$150.
