Seth Thomas “Grand” alarm, ca. 1909.  A 10-inch metal-cased alarm clock shown on page 49 of Ly’s Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements, Vol. 1.  The catalog describes it as having a “Verde antique base, gun metal top and hands, 7-inch gold dial, silver center and raised black numerals and minute dots”.  This one shows obvious wear, but it is running, 8 days. The alarm function wasn’t tested; it sets on the front with the back end of the winding key.  AAC sold one in January 2020 for $101.  $100-$150.
