236.    $150

Self-Winding Clock Co. “No. 10” ca. 1898.  The SWCC began in 1886 and stayed in business until the 1960’s.  Initially they purchased cases and movements from established manufacturers (likely Seth Thomas here) and modified the movement to be battery-wound; eventually they manufactured their own movements, as found here.  The 30.5-inch oak case has been refinished nicely; the dial glass is old, as is the signed, painted 14-inch dial.  The movement is signed and there are a multitude of wires running around inside the case.  There is a voltage regulator and a D cell holder that can be attached.  Not being an electrician, I did not test the clock.  The most recent sales record I can find for this model was in 2018 for $175. $150-$250.
