Antique American Clocks July 2021
216. $50 ea
Four carriage clocks. All are running, all are time-only (the first one has an alarm). The first three are French from around 1900. The two taller ones stand 5.5 inches tall with the handles up; the second one is
4.25 inches tall. All have porcelain dials, the first one’s dial needs cleaning, the third one’s dial appears to be flaking
off a layer of varnish? The first two have five beveled glasses (including the top glass); the third has four beveled glasses
with a flat top glass. There are no chips in the glasses; the brass is tarnished on the first three. Only the middle one
comes with a key. The fourth is circa 1970 in brushed gold, signed “Tiffany & Co.” on the dial, with a Swiss 15-jewel lever
escapement that is running. Indicate which one you are bidding on (first, second, third, or fourth) on your bid sheet. $50-$150 ea.
