Antique American Clocks July 2021
212. $100
Atkins Clock Co. “Diamond”, 1859-1879. An uncommon model from this company. The case
is 14.25 inches tall, veneered in rosewood; Gregory & King (The Clocks of Irenus Atkins, page 97) list this model under the Barnes
Brothers Clock Co., the successors to ACC, at 15 inches. Here the label is Atkins Clock Co. and the 8-day, time-and-strike movement
is unsigned. Both glasses are likely original, as are the dial and hands. It is running and striking. I can find
no sales records for this model, and that includes LiveAuctioneers and the Antique Clocks Price Guide through 1999. $100-$250.
