Antique American Clocks July 2021
184. $50
Waterbury Clock Co. “Para”, ca. 1891. A 22-inch case with rosewood veneer, very dark, the lower decorated
glass original, the dial glass replaced, and a painted dial with logo in very good condition. The two brass hands may go with
the uncommon alarm on this example. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on the hour and half-hour
on a Waterbury-signed wire gong. The fancy pendulum is Waterbury issue. There is a dark black label with some losses inside. This is a common clock style, but this model is not, with no recent sales. $75-$150.
