Antique American Clocks July 2021
180. $350
Haynes porcelain clock, ca. 1980? A 22.5-inch ornate porcelain clock with a modern Franz Hermle lever
movement and a two-bell strike on the hours and half-hours. The enameled dial is signed “Haynes” and sits behind a convex glass. Note the delicate porcelain flowers on either side of the dial, and the gilt highlighting throughout. This clock does not appear
to have ever been used; it comes in the original packing box. I cannot convince it to run, but probably because it has sat for
so long unused. It will strike. The consignor bought this from Carroll Horton in 2018 for $495; I can’t find any similar
examples sold on the internet. A beautiful clock. $350-$500.
