G. Hettich Sohn fusee shelf cuckoo, ca. 1900.  A 21.5-inch-tall shelf cuckoo in walnut with an old finish.  I don’t see any missing trim, but there is a repair on the left side of the top piece and the dial is cracked vertically.  I think both could be repaired.  The hands are celluloid.  The brass movement is signed GHS with a fusee strike chain; information with the clock says it runs 8 days.  It is running, striking on a wire gong, and the bird is calling on the hours and half-hours.  It’s wings are articulated.  Nicely carved fusee shelf cuckoos like this are selling between $1200-$1600.
