Antique American Clocks July 2021
161. $250
Black Forest-style French shelf clock, ca. 1880. This 15.25-inch carved walnut case is in the
tradition of Black Forest carvings, but the movement is by Marti & Cie. I don’t see any missing pieces or chips on the case,
and it has a good original finish. The wood dial has blue cartouche numerals. The pendule de Paris movement is running
and striking on the hours and half-hours. $250-$400.
