Antique American Clocks July 2021
149. $175
Wm. Gilbert Clock Co. “Saratoga” wall clock, ca. 1901. A 37-inch oak case that has been stripped
but not fully refinished – it would benefit from a sealer and varnish. The left turned drop finial is a well-made replacement. The dial glass is newer, the lower glass old with old advertising. The paper dial is badly yellowed and replacement would be
appropriate. The spring-driven movement is signed and running, striking on the hours and half-hours. No label inside or
out. $175-$250.
