Antique American Clocks July 2021
126. $150
Gebruder Resch “Remember” Vienna, 1872-1895. A 32.5-inch case with the requisite Corinthian
columns characteristic of the Altdeutsch period; the door glass is modern, the dial has several slight hairlines. The 8-day,
time-and-strike movement is signed “Remember” with the GR imprint and a serial number that matches that on the mount and pendulum. It is driven by two brass shell weights filled with lead; it runs briefly before fading away but does strike. There may have
been finials on the top corners at one time, but not on the base. $150-$300.
