124.     $250

Mitchell & Atkins carved column & splat shelf clock, 1831-1835.  Mitchell was the marketer, Rollin and Irenus made the cases and movements.  This is a nice example of a better-quality shelf clock with carved columns and crest; the case is 27 inches tall to the top of the crest.  Both glasses are original, as is the tablet; the crest may be a newer replacement.  The pineapple finials look old to me.  The wooden dial is nicely decorated and still bright, with proper hands. The 30-hour time-and-strike wood movement does not run or strike.  A good label inside, two old iron weights, and one tin pulley cap.  $250-$500.
