E. Ingraham “Ingraham Calendar”, ca. 1881.  An all-original example of this classic calendar shelf clock.  The 22-inch walnut case was probably cleaned some time ago.  The glasses are original, the paper dials yellowed originals, and the hands correct.  The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is signed and has one and possibly two original brass springs; it is running and striking, and the weekday hand is advancing.  The calendar date hand is advancing as well. The name of the company is stamped into the base inside.  I can’t find a flaw.  These clocks routinely sell between $400 and $800.
