Antique American Clocks July 2021
57. $400
E. Ingraham “Ingraham Calendar”, ca. 1881. An all-original example of this classic calendar
shelf clock. The 22-inch walnut case was probably cleaned some time ago. The glasses are original, the paper dials yellowed
originals, and the hands correct. The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is signed and has one and possibly two original
brass springs; it is running and striking, and the weekday hand is advancing. The calendar date hand is advancing as well. The name of the company is stamped into the base inside. I can’t find a flaw. These clocks routinely sell between $400
and $800.
