Electric Ad Clock Co. “Action Ad Clock”, 1940-1970?  A 23.5-inch wide cabinet in walnut, 12.5-inches tall and 7 inches deep.  Popular in restaurants, lunch counters and taverns, these were first produced in the 1940’s and I think the company was still in business in Chicago through the 1960’s, but I can’t find any information on the company’s history. Neon advertisers are quite popular and this one is in excellent condition.  It has six neon fluorescent advertising cards that flip about every 8 seconds on a continuously turning roller.  I do not believe any of the cards represent actual advertising. Both neon tubes are working and are light blue, the clock is running.  This advertiser is not very noisy (some models are). There is a nice label on the back and the electric cord is in good condition.  Nothing not to like here – could your man-cave use a spruce-up?  These are not uncommon; Route 32 & Showtime Auctions sold a similar example last fall for $325.  $250-$500.
