Antique American Clocks January 2021
143. $300
Seth Thomas “Office Calendar No. 4”, ca. 1863. A second example of this popular wall calendar
clock, possibly a bit earlier than #142. Again the rosewood veneer is very good with no chipping evident and all the buttons
present. The glasses are old but both dial pans are twentieth century galvanized steel and aluminum replacements. The
upper dial has some black paint speckling that can be seen on a close look. The hands are correct. The 8-day time-only
movement is signed, correct to this model, and running and the calendar is advancing. A black label on the door. $300-$425.
