Seth Thomas “Parlor Calendar No. 1”, ca. 1863.  This is the early version of this model; a later version had larger dials and lacked the decorative center panel (Ly, Calendar Clocks page 258).  The 33-inch case is veneered in rosewood with very little chipping; I suspect some of it has been re-veneered.  Both glasses are likely original, and the upper dial is likely original, with the original paint (now chipping).  The lower dial has been repainted.  There is a good black and gold label on the door.  The signed ST 8-day, weight-driven, time-and-strike movement is running without problem after I replaced the weights with 7-lb weights (see the last photo for the updated weights).  The calendar is advancing. This early model is not common; the most recent sale I can find was at Schmidt’s Antiques for $550 in 2018.  $450-$600.
