120.     $1200

Waterbury Clock Co. “Peoria” calendar clock, ca. 1900.  A 42-inch oak case with a very old finish.  The door glass is original, as is the flaking painted metal dial.  The hands are Waterbury issue.  The 8-day movement is unsigned and running without problem; the calendar mechanism is unique to this and two other Waterbury models.  Unless I’ve missed a trick, the day and date rollers advance daily, but you set the month by hand.  The date will advance but the weekday roller needs the tension bar tightened to prevent roll-back.  The roller papers have been lacquered to prevent further degradation and are dark.  There are two small nubbins missing from the bottom corners of the case.  Horton’s sold a very nice example in 2016 for $1700; Schmitt’s sold one in 2018 for $1600.  $1200-$1600.
