Antique American Clocks January 2021
104. $500
Seth Thomas “Umbria”, ca. 1900. A 40.5-inch oak case in an Old Oak finish with a 15-day, time-only
movement. The glasses are old, the dial looks original with a bit of flaking on the upper left, and some soiling. The
hands are correct. The pendulum bob needs some polish. The case was formerly stained red and has been refinished; you
can see the old stain on the back of the crest and behind the dial. The Seth Thomas No. 40 movement is rugged and running. No label. Horton’s sold one in 2018 for $600. $500-$750.
