73.      $350

Ansonia “Earl” crystal regulator, ca. 1914.  A 13-inch gilded brass case with four beveled glasses and an 8-day, hour and half-hour gong strike with visible escapement and ruby pallets.  The gilding is good in most places; the top is dull.  The two-part porcelain dial is clean with one hairline at the 12, the glasses are unchipped except for the back door at the very bottom.  It is running and striking as expected.  This model is shown with two crystal vase side-pieces in the catalog illustration (Ly, Ansonia Clocks & Watches, page 114).   A $62 clock in 1914; today that would be $1550. Wow!  I can only find one sale of this model, in 2011 at Harris, with the side vases, for $2600.  An auctioneer can hope… $350-$500.

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?

Absolutely!  Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return it if you are unhappy.  If the clock is not as described, or we missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures, we will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well.  Find another auction company that does that!
