Vincenti & Cie slate architectural mantel clock, ca. 1880. A large and very heavy (43 lb) Belgian
slate mantel clock, 13 inches high by 18 inches wide. Three Corinthian columns on each side, trimmed in gold with a gold-trimmed
ornament in the pediment. The dial is gold-toned with painted black numerals and a center ornament on a black background, with
brass hands. The brass bezel holds a beveled flat glass. The clock sits on brass feet. The pendule de Paris movement
has a Vincenti & Cie logo, 1855 and is marked ‘A1’ in a circle. It is running and striking on a cathedral gong. Old
fabric over the fenestrations in the back door. There are no significant chips or cracks to the case. $150-$250.
