New Haven “Tambour No. 2”, ca. 1917. New Haven’s top of the line tambour. Solid mahogany with
a rich finish, 12 inches tall and 24 inches wide, perfect for that 1920’s mantel. The dial is porcelain, signed, with some chips
at the speed adjustment arbor; the hands are replacements. The glass is curved and beveled. The unsigned rack and snail
movement is running and striking on a cathedral gong on the hours and half-hours. No label. $100-$200.
