Antique American Clocks July 2020
2o2. $25
New Haven “Diadem”, ca. 1900. An 18-inch-tall case with rosewood veneer and three bell-shaped finials. There is some chipping to the veneer on the left side base, and the finish is dirty and spotted. The silk-screened glass is
original, with a butterfly in the middle. An old metal dial with some wear and chipping and a signed 30-hour time-and-strike
movement that is running aggressively but the strike is frozen. The alarm is not hooked up. A nice brass bell and a nice
single barrel pendulum, no label. $25-$50.
