Antique American Clocks July 2020
175. $200
Seth Thomas “Chime Clock No. 2”, ca. 1914. A 14-inch case with an undamaged adamantine finish
housing a 4-bell chime. The signed silvered dial shows modest wear, sitting behind a convex beveled glass. The 8-day,
time-and-strike movement is running but the chime movement is not; the chime/silent switch is missing, and it will need repair/replacement. The strike is also silent, I assume because the chime is not working. This is an uncommon bell-chime clock and would likely
retail around $400 if working. $200-$300.
