130.     $500

Seth Thomas “Regulator No. 2”, ca. 1890.  A 36-inch case with veneered walnut in fine shape except on the bezel, which has been stripped of the veneer and stained to match.  Both glasses are likely original, the dial very old paint, possibly original with original hands.  The time-only movement is the early version used in the No. 2 regulator (see page 277 of Ly, Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements, Vol. 1); it is signed and running, a bit on the fussy side; the pendulum bob shows very faint damascening and the weight is correct.  There is a black label on the bottom of the case and a beat scale too.  Looks perfect unless you inspect the bezel up close.  $500-$650.
