Waltham mid-size, lever movement banjo, ca. 1930.  This banjo is 30 inches tall with a “Special Movement with Lever Escapement”.  The case is walnut, the glasses original in good shape, the tablet showing Perry’s Victory of 1813 on Lake Erie.  There is some chipping on the dial around the winding port.  It is running and keeping time. This is the least common size of Waltham banjos, I can only find a few sales in the last decade.  $500-750.
