517.     $10

Regent Mfg. Co. metal novelty clock, ca. 1894.  Regent Mfg. Co. was in Chicago in the late 1800’s and made a number of cast metal novelty clocks.  A similar example was sold by Ansonia as “Novelty No. 803”, and was finished in silver.  This clock has a copper finish but that may be because the silver or gold finish has been polished off.  It is 12.5 inches tall but the top part of the mast has been broken off, and one piece has been reglued into place.  The tin-can backwind movement is running and keeping time; the clean paper dial is signed “Regent Mfg. Co. Chicago ILL”.  Would be worth more if the top piece wasn’t missing.  $10-$50.
