New Haven “Winsome Chime”, ca. 1930.  This banjo model is not shown in Ly’s book on New Haven clocks but two others, “Winsome” and “Winsome Strike” are shown.  It has a 27-inch long mahogany case with two reverse images, the lower looking a bit flakey; the dial glass is convex over a silvered dial with gold numerals and a silver bezel ring over the dial.  It has a time, strike, and chime movement that should play on four rods in the throat; however, it cannot be coaxed to do anything and will need attention.  $50-$100.
