Antique American Clocks January 2020
309. $75
Goodrich iron front, ca. 1852. Chauncey Goodrich made clocks under his own name in the early 1850’s. This iron front is 14.5 inches tall with faded gilt and flowers on the cast iron front. The likely original painted dial is
signed, the only indication that this is a Goodrich clock, as the movement is not signed and there is no label. The hands are
appropriate but not original, the dial is faded and touched up around the mainstem; the glass is new, porthole glass old. It
is running and striking, likely 8 days duration. $75-$150.
