Antique American Clocks January 2020
305. $45
Seth Thomas “Column”, ca. 1870. This is an ever-popular small shelf clock (16 inches tall) with a
big 8-day time-and-strike Seth Thomas lyre movement. The rosewood veneer here is pretty good, all three glasses are old, the
metal dial has been touched up from chipping reasonably well, and it has ‘ST’ hands. The middle glass is not typical and probably
an old replacement. A good label inside. It is running and striking as expected. $50-$100.
