Southern Calendar Clock Co. “Fashion No. 4”, ca. 1884.  Perhaps the most common Fashion model, 32-inches high with the center finial, in solid walnut with a great finish.  Both dials have likely been repainted, the time dial is showing some peeling while the calendar dial may be a newer repaint.  All the hands look correct.  The door glass appears to be original with good gold leaf lettering.  The time movement is signed Seth Thomas, made for the SCCCo. It is running and striking brightly on a large brass bell, with the calendar movement advancing.  A brass pendulum bob on a wooden stick and two good labels inside, three good finials on top.  I guess everyone who wants one of these clocks already has one, as prices for this model have fallen off the deep end.  $750-$850.
