154.           $350

Southern Calendar Clock Co. “Fashion No. 2”, 1875.  The second model in the series and the first one to adopt the case style used by all subsequent models.  The walnut case with finials is 31.5 inches tall with good veneer and a polished all around.  Both glasses are old, the dials repainted by The Dial House, with proper hands.  The 8-day time-and-strike movement is signed by Seth Thomas and made for the SCCC.  The clock is running after some reluctance and strikes on the brass bell; the day calendar advances but the date hand does not and will need some adjustment. A faded label on the back of the door with the date of manufacture, April 1, 1875.  No foolin’.  AAC has sold six of this model in the past several years for an average of $391.  $350–$450.
