Ansonia Clock Co. “Jupiter”, ca. 1914. One of Ansonia’s
higher-end crystal regulators, with cut glass columns and gold ornaments over the brass case. It stands 16.5 inches tall with
four beveled glasses; the front and back door are bowed and the finish is a bit tarnished. The signed porcelain dial bears the
Ansonia logo with proper hands; the visible escapement has ruby pallets. The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is signed
and running but not striking. The most recent sale of this model was at Tom Harris in 2021 for $475. $450–$600.
