Richard Swan grandmother rocking ship clock, ca. 1990? A bench-made grandmother (61 inches with the center finial) in a light-stained mahogany with inlaid crossbanding borders on the trunk door and base, with fans in the corners.  A traditional Roxbury pierced fret on top with three tarnished brass finials. The painted dial is signed ‘Richard Swan, W. Bridgewater Mass.’ and features a rocking ship above the dial.  There is no other identifying information or instructions, other than the number ‘3’ stamped into the case below the dial.  The spring-driven 8-day, time, strike, and chime movement was made by Erhard Jauch in Germany; it is running, striking, and chiming (Westminster) on the quarter hours on 8 rods.  No sales records.  $250–$500.
