F. Kroeber “Winona/Reflex”, 1875/1880. A 20.5-inch walnut
case with an old finish. The door glass is a modern replacement; the paper dial and hands are too. The 8-day, time-and-strike
movement is signed, running and striking on the brass bell. The Geneva stops to prevent overwinding have been removed, the one-barrel
pendulum is as shown in the catalog illustration (page 332 of Ly, Kroeber Clocks). Kroeber initially named this the Winona (1875),
and in 1880 renamed it the Reflex. Since we have no date or label to go on (a label on the back has been lost), you can call
it whatever you like. $25–$100.
