112. $100
E.N. Welch Mfg. Co. “Dolaro”, ca. 1885. A 22.5-inch walnut
case with an old finish and plenty of patina. The door glass is original with a good silver stencil that matches the nickel
dial bezel and alarm ring. The dial retains the original paint in good condition, with proper hands (see Ly, Welch Clocks, Second
Edition, pages 386-387). The signed 8-day time-and-strike movement is dirty and will only run for a few seconds; it will strike. A proper Welch sandwich glass pendulum and a good label on the back. The matching wall clock is #216. Only one sales record,
at Stevens Auction in 2013 for $375. $100–$200.
