Chauncey Jerome papier mâché shelf clock, 1845-1850.  A 13-inch black lacquer case with gilding and MOP decorations on the front.  I see two small losses to the MOP on the top right side.  The dial glass is domed, the painted dial original and signed, with good paint retention.  There is a push-button to open the front door; there is a signed 8-day, time-and-strike double fusee movement inside that is running and striking properly on a wire gong.  No label.  $100–$200.
