Smith & Goodrich miniature 8-day box clock, 1847-1852.  A 12.5-inch mahogany case with two original glasses and a well-preserved tablet; there are some veneer chips on the right side of the base.  The original metal dial holds the original paint with minor chipping and a signature; the hands are likely replacements.  The 8-day (unusual for a clock this size) time-only movement is unsigned; it runs briefly.  There is faded wallpaper on the back wall but no label.  $100–$250.
