Forestville Mfg. Co. cottage clock, 1842-1849.  A 15-inch rosewood cottage in beautiful condition; the finish is polished, the glasses are original and the image and dial surround have been touched up.  Note the old steam engine in the lower left corner of the tablet. The zinc dial holds the original paint, the hands are period-correct but slight mismatches.  The brass 8-day, time-and-strike movement is not signed; it is running and striking.  There is a good label inside.  These clocks typically sell between $200 and $400.
