Smith & Goodrich
fusee box clock, 1847-1852. A 15.5-inch mahogany case with two original reverse-painted glasses in excellent condition. The metal dial has been repainted, the hands period/original, with a repair to the tip of the minute hand. The 30-hour time-and-strike
double-fusee movement is unsigned, as is typical, and is running and striking without problem on the wire gong. There is a dark
blue label inside. AAC sold a similar example in 2021 for $878. $400–$800.
