Marshall &
Adams two-door column & cornice, 1833-1836. A third example, this one with carved lower half-columns, an early twentieth
century mirror, and a modern replacement mirror in the cornice. The dial glass is old but the putty is not original. The
wood dial is dark but reasonably clean; I have seen these gray-green dials before on Marshall & Adams clocks. The hands
are period. The 30-hour wooden movement will not run or strike; there are no weights, but 30-hour weights can be purchased for
$15 – put a note on your bid sheet that you want weights. The label is dark and torn and has a paste-over about the brass bushings,
which are present on this movement. $125–$350.
