231. $250
Vincenti & Cie figural, ca. 1890. A 10-inch walnut(?) case with
a 12.5-inch cast spelter figure of a man with a hammer standing on a large anvil. There are spots of loss to the finish on the
figural, but no breaks or cracks. The case is highly carved and there are cast ornaments on the front with cast brass feet. The wood dial has cartouche porcelain numerals, brass Breguet hands, and sits behind a beveled glass in a brass bezel. The 8-day
pendule de Paris movement is signed and the serial number on the movement matches the die-stamped number on the pendulum. The
clock is running and striking on the hours and half-hours on the nickel bell. Unusual to see a carved wood base. $250–$500.
