Waltham Watch Co. lever banjo, 1932-1938.  A 40-inch case with the brass eagle finial; it holds a platform escapement 8-day, time-only movement that is signed “Waltham Watch Co.” and is running without problem.  The 7-inch dial has the original paint and hands; the dial glass is convex.  Nice cross-banding on the front of the case, and two good glasses of George and Mount Vernon.  I can find no other examples of a full-size banjo with this movement, normally found in the ¾-size models.  $250–$400.
