Waterbury Clock Co. “Regulator No. 7” REPRODUCTION, ca. 1990? An 85.5-inch solid oak case with beveled glasses in the door and side lights. There are well done carvings on the base and top,
with applied wooden ornaments as well, consistent with a well-made reproduction, but I can find no stamp of manufacture. The
12-inch enameled dial with a sweep-seconds hand fronts an unsigned pinwheel escapement movement in polished brass and nickel, which,
unfortunately, does not run and will need service. The problem may lie in the pendulum, as it appears there is no suspensions
spring; the pendulum may not be right for this clock. There is a standard gridiron pendulum and a large brass weight. A beat scale at the bottom. It’s hard to identify sales of reproductions of this model online, but I think they sell for ~$1500;
Harris sold one in 2019 for $1800. Delivery of this very large clock to the eastern half of the country for $600. Or pick
up for free. $500-$1000.
