174. $200
E. Ingraham & Co. “Ionic”, ca. 1886. A second example
of this model. The rosewood veneer is all good and the grain painting on the bezels is outstanding. Both glasses are old/original,
the yellowed paper dial on top may be an old replacement and is signed; the calendar paper dial is clean and slightly faded and bears
the Ingraham logo. The hands are correct all around. The small 8-day, time-only movement is signed and running, and the
calendar hands are advancing. There is a label inside that calls this the ‘Mosaic’, but I don’t think that is the correct label
for this clock (note, however, that it is also found on the previous example, #173). It also notes that you can move the hands
forward or backward without harm. There is a label on the back of the calendar door for the B.B. Lewis calendar. A nice
example. $200–$400.
