156.           $1200

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Parlor Calendar No. 9”, 1886.  A wonderfully ornate calendar clock; the walnut case is just under 30 inches tall with two old glasses and two dials repainted by The Dial House.  The hands are correct.  I believe the crest on this clock is a modern replacement, with the ornamental balls and center ring in a lighter color.  The Seth Thomas 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running without issue, striking on the cathedral gong, and the calendar date hand and day roller are advancing.  A ‘Do not oil’ label inside and the date stamped on the back.  Schmidt’s Antiques sold a similar example in 2020 for $2500.  $1200-$2000.
