124. $250
Ansonia Clock Co. “Ossipee”, ca. 1904. This model is clearly
labeled on the back but was not listed in any of the catalogs Tran Duy Ly included in his treatise on Ansonia clocks. You can
find numerous sales records on LiveAuctioneers. The case is 11.5 inches tall by 13 inches wide with cobalt blue trim, purple
flowers, and good retention of the gilding. There is slight crazing on the front. The large porcelain dial is signed,
with some chipping at the right winding hole. The glass is beveled. The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement will
not run but will strike on a cathedral gong. A prized color, needing just a bit of attention to get running. $250–$500.
