97. $400
Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Parlor”, ca. 1863. A 30.5-inch case veneered in rosewood with angled columns, cornice, and base. This case is often seen with a calendar in the
bottom glass. The veneer here is clean with just a few chips along the base and at the top, and is in better-than-average condition. All three glasses are period/original, with very limited losses to the two patriotic tablets. The dial was repainted; the hands
are period and correct. The ST 8-day, time-and-strike lyre movement will run for a bit before stopping and may just need slight
adjustment; it is die-stamped Plymouth Conn and strikes the wire gong on the hours. There are two 8-day weights and a good Plymouth
Hollow label inside. AAC sold a similar example but with replacement glasses last summer for $500. $400–$600.
